Main responsibilities

Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to continuously grow business and enhance efficiency
Support the general manager in separate monthly business reviews with Merlin and Dubai Parks and resorts teams to ensure all necessary information is prepared and shared to ensure a clear understanding of what drives the visit, revenues and costs

  • Develop a culture of cost awareness and control, making each AED count and driving operational efficiency
  • Work with GM and senior team to develop annual capex plan and submit this to Dubai Parks and resorts for approval
  • Ensure that all capital expenditures are spent according to the approved plan and calculated correctly
  • Support the IT manager in continuous improvement to support the first level of operational systems and devices , and strategic development of new applications
  • Support the logistics manager in developing and delivering all aspects of warehouse, procurement and logistics functions
  • Ensure that in all areas of responsibility all team members are trained, developed and receive effective performance reviews.
  • Make sure all teams have a succession plan
  • Support the profit protection manager while promoting profit protection initiatives and LEGOLAND’s zero tolerance policy on theft and fraud
  • As required meet with counterparts at other parks and the corporate team at Dubai Parks & Resorts to discuss initiatives and issues across the resort.
  • Review all specified Legoland contracts and ensure proper legal review prior to execution
  • Communicate with Dubai Parks & Resorts ‘ procurement teams about the resort’s extensive procurement initiatives
  • Responsible for all internal and external audits, the signing of the financial statements quarterly
  • Responsible for health and safety within areas of responsibility, ensuring all risk assessments are reviewed and updated annually
  • Implement work and crisis management roles as required by the business

Are you a star?

In order to be eligible for this role you must possess the following criteria:

  • 5 years after qualified experience
  • 10 years of experience in the role of financial management
  • Excellent technical accounting skills
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and insurance matters
  • Excellent strategic planning skills
  • Knowledge of the intermediate level of Microsoft Office packages is necessary especially Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail should be
  • Strong calculation and analytical skills
  • Able to communicate orally and in writing at all levels of the team LEGOLAND
  • Ability to clearly present information to financial and non-financial managers
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills
  • Must be a motivational and attractive leader of a cross functional team of 32
  • You should be able to travel internationally occasionally attend meetings as required
  • Must be able to work in the evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs
  • Education / qualification requirements
  • Certified or certified accounting qualification-ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CPA
  • Related bachelor’s or Master’s degree
